Accessibility statement
EduSmart Consult wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use screen readers, a keyboard or a phone in bright sunlight.
What we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA on every page of this website. Accessibility is checked each time the site is rebuilt.
What we have done
- Every page works with a keyboard only, with a visible focus outline and a link to skip to the main content.
- Text and buttons keep strong contrast, and nothing depends on colour alone.
- Pictures have text descriptions, and forms have clear labels and error messages.
- Dark mode, high contrast and three text sizes are available from the display settings button on every page.
- Animations stop for visitors who ask their device to reduce motion.
- The site works on small phones and does not scroll sideways.
- Pages are available in English, French and Kinyarwanda.
How we test
Every page is run through an automated accessibility checker for WCAG 2.2 A and AA rules, and we review key pages by keyboard and on a phone. Automated tools find many, but not all, problems, so we also welcome your feedback.
Known limits
- Some PDF guides are designed for printing and may not be fully accessible to screen readers.
- The French and Kinyarwanda texts are being reviewed by native speakers.
- The interactive school map is best used with a mouse or touch screen; the same school lists are available as text.
