Taking a primary school fully digital, offline

A school with a single computer room and unreliable internet moves lesson plans, timetables and reports onto Smart School App.

The challenge

Teachers wrote lesson plans by hand, the timetable was rebuilt every term, and reports took days. Internet was too weak for any online tool.

What we did

  1. Installed Smart School App on the school computers and teacher tablets
  2. Trained teachers in two short sessions with the REB lesson plan template
  3. Used in-school sync so every device kept the same records without internet
  4. Set up weekly backups to a USB drive
